Attachment is the condition of feeling that we “need” a person, place, thing, experience or whatever, in order to be who we are, in order to feel whole or complete. But this sense of separateness is a lie, since we are already whole and complete. When we can begin to develop an awareness about attachment in our own lives, then new and exciting possibilities begin to open up for us, including freedom and healing.

Both sexes in relationships yearn for appreciation. In other words, both long to be showered with praise and compliments every now and again, most especially the females, who happen to be the most self-conscious of the sexes. Whether in the physical appearance or achievement department, some form of reassurance is needed most of the time.
