Your AttitudeArticle #766

Author: Chris Ford

Are you struggling in a certain area of your life? Maybe your relationships, or your finances, or your job? If you desire to change, then lets begin with an attitude adjustment.

Attitude is defined as the mental position or feeling with regard to something else. Maintaining the right attitude is essential in life and the success of you and your business. What does maintaining the right attitude mean? In my opinion, maintaining the right attitude means having the proper mental perspective for your given situation.

Your attitude is a direct reflection of who you are. Your attitude is a mindset. There are some that believe that where you are from, your education, your surroundings, and what happens to you in life’s journey control or make up your mindset. I feel differently.

You see, I’m a firm believer that its not what happens to you in life that shapes your mindset, rather what you do about what happens to you that should be your mindset. What you honor in your mind will determine the direction of your life. You and every other human being on the planet will focus on their daily thoughts.

So if your daily thoughts determine your focus, which determines your mindset, which directly affects the outcome and successes of your life, I ask you, “What are you focused on?”

What happens happens to everyone

The very same circumstances that happen to you happen to everyone. For instance, are you the very first person on this earth to lose a loved one? Are you the very first person on this earth to go through a divorce or breakup? Are you the very first person on this earth to lose a job? Are you the very first person on this earth to endure a sickness or disease? I think not. You see I could go on and on about circumstances. But its not the circumstance that determines your outcome in life. Its how you deal with the circumstance that matters most.

Attitude is the start of everything good or not so good in your life. If you have an attitude or belief that nothing in life can stop you from achieving your destiny regardless of the circumstance then you are on your way. However, if you let negative outside forces, influences, and distractions derail you from your destiny, and keep you derailed you need an attitude adjustment. Your attitude is the mechanism that can bring forth or shut off how you deal with circumstances.

With the proper mental attitude you will become a human magnet that creates everything you desire in your life. Even if your struggling currently with some aspect of your life, whether its your business, your finances, or a relationship, this can be corrected.

How Do I Correct or Obtain The Right Attitude?

1 – Obtaining the right attitude begins with self-awareness. What is your current attitude about life in general? What is your current attitude about making money or having a successful business or career? What is your current attitude about your spouse, your partner or your mate? When you know where your attitude is, then determine where you would like it to be.

2 – Make a Decision to have the proper attitude. When you go on vacation or take a trip do you know your ultimate destination? Of course you do. In the same context, you must know where you are going in order to get there. When you know where you are going, make a firm decision that you will get there no matter what gets in your way.

3 – Let Go of whatever is holding you back. Once you have made the decision to get where you want to go you have to let go of your obstacles that keep you from getting there. This obstacle may be in the form of a habit, a person, a business decision, an employee change or whatever. But you must let go to go forward.

4 – Don’t Give Up, Don’t Ever Give Up. When you know where you are going, and make a decision to get there no matter what, and let go of everything holding you back, then the next and final step is don’t quit. Don’t Give UpFeature Articles, Don’t Ever Give Up. You may have to make adjustments and changes along the way but stay on course and don’t give up. You will get to your destination if you stay focused on where you want to go.
