Are you frustrated by knowing you could do a lot better in your career and other areas of your life?

Wondered why you just can’t seem to do better?

Are you angry with yourself because you are not achieving your potential?

And time is passing you by ……

Do you have a vision for your life?

But just do not know how to get there…….

If those questions ring a bell with you then read on …..

How do you get there from here?

What you need to do is to focus …

Get yourself a notebook to write your answers in.

Tip One

You need to identify what is most important in your life, write them down.

Each point that you have identified write down why it is important and what difference it would make to your life, and what you have to do in order to make it happen.

Have you ever noticed how easy it is to know what to do next but really hard to get it done.

One of the biggest enemies of keeping focused and staying motivated is procrastination.

Tip Two

Do you focus on your weakness?

That little voice inside your head that keeps telling you, you can not do it. It is important to focus on your strengths because by focusing on your weakness you are actually sabotaging your own progress.

Tip Three

Have you ever put off doing the important things?

You need to keep a to-do list and list all the important things that you need to get done in that day and put them in priority order and most importantly follow your list.

I find it helpful to do my, to-do list the night before.

Having a to-do list and following it will help to motivate you into taking action and keep you motivated.

Tip Four

Do you find yourself talking yourself out of doing things?

Negative talk will sabotage your progress.

This is a fantastic quote that I read in an Anthony Robbins book.

“Society predicts but you determine your future.”

I change to suit me by saying that society may predict but I determine my future.

So instead of saying you can’t… say you can.

I Can do it

When you awake in the morning say:

This is going to be a lovely day and I am thankful for today

I am a success

I am a good mother / father / daughter / son

I am a good wife

I am beautiful

These are just a few but you can modify and change it around, but always start with I am.

At first it may sound and feel strange but eventually you will start to feel more at ease with saying it.

You must remember that you are special and you have potential and you can do what ever you want in your life because you write your own story.

By changing your thinking you will change your life.

It is important to do a few affirmations. This will help to keep you motivated and also keep your motivation levels up.

Keep affirmations close to you until you can remember them and read them daily and when you find yourself talking or thinking negatively.

Affirmations will also alter your moods and help to keep you calm.
