Author: TJ Philpott

Maintaining and increasing your focus is absolutely essential for anybody striving to be more productive! It all stems from your ability to plan your work and work your plan, but it is the way in which you do so that will give you the best results for increasing productivity in your life!

Here is a quick look at how prior planning gives you the ability to sort out what needs to be done and how thus helping you stay focused and be more productive!

Plan Your Work Day The Night Before

Your last thoughts before retiring will be your intended objectives for the following day! This now allows your sub-conscious mind to work out the kinks and prepare you for a purpose driven and more productive start on the new day! In most cases the way your day starts out is a pretty good indication of what type of progress you can expect or even what frame of mind you’ll be in at days end! This is crucial from the standpoint that if you’re experiencing difficulty it only makes it harder to stay focused!

Capture Momentum Early On

Starting out productively as mentioned above, helps you build and capture momentum that can help you stay focused and remain motivated! The biggest key to increasing productivity, is ramp up your personal output which can only be done with a well defined plan of action combined with a highly focused effort! Without both it is not realistic to expect yourself to be more productive, therefore make a plan and then consider revisions if necessary before actually implementing it! By doing so it becomes easier to maintain a continuity of effort that results in consistent progress.

Refine Your Direction

The longer you stay immersed in completing the schedule tasks of the day the more clearer it becomes what tasks are the MOST important! Determining this helps you to be even more productive the next day by placing more focus on those areas that will move you closer to your goals. At the same time you are discovering which tasks are the most time consuming and least rewarding in terms of the results they yield! Now it is up to you to decide whether you can automate or eliminate these tasks, being you don’t want to knowingly invest time in anything that offers little in return!

Your focus is the starting point to learning how to be more productive and is a process that involves the proper prior planning! By organizing your thoughts preferably the day before you increase your ability and determine the best possible way to implement your plan! The discussion above addresses how with the proper approach and allowing yourself the time to better coordinate your efforts, you can more easily stay focused on the task at hand! This in turn makes it much easier for increasing productivity, since the more you accomplish the greater your motivation to be even more productive!
