The Non-Committal Attitude

The number one reason why you don’t reach your goals is because you are not really committed to the change in the first place. There are people who have this quality, but there is a way out of it. The most important thing is that the person should have clarity on what the goal is or what he or she wants to achieve. For example, you set a certain goal and when you finally did, it’s time that you plan on how to achieve it, because if you plan things way in advance it will be harder for you to make some excuses.

The “I Hate Planning” Person

There are some people who have this aversion to planning, in which they don’t want to be seen as planners. This is because they see planners as boring and they quickly assume that such a quality is not for them. Sure, spontaneity is so fun but not all the time. There are some things in life that must be planned. The solution here is that you get over the idea about planners. They are not boring and you will definitely benefit if you plan. Of course, you don’t have to plan how to spend every minute of your day, but you should plan on how to achieve your goals because your goals will not come knocking at your door, waiting for it to be taken. It’s not that easy and YOU KNOW THIS.

Not a Believer

There are some people who don’t believe in themselves – that they can achieve what they set their minds into and this is sad, really sad. You see, if you set a goal and you don’t believe in it, you definitely won’t achieve it and you will just waste your time. The solution here is to only set goals that you believe that you can achieve. Your goals should be realistic. Positive affirmations can help you achieve your goals, so try to make all your thoughts positive and supportive.

The Easily Led One

Then there are those people who look to others for affirmation but on the other hand, get discouraged. There are so many people who try to sabotage your success and often do so because if you improve, they’ll be forced to focus on their own stagnation. They will try to drag you back to their level at every opportunity. And this is the truth, the cold hard truth and it is very possible that you have met someone like this already. The solution here is that you should surround yourself with people who support you. You should have a positive environment because you don’t have time for people who will only drag you back when you start improving.

The All or Nothing

There are a lot of people who are this type, the “all or nothing” type. They are the people who want it all and they want it all now. If it’s not going to happen tomorrow, then for them there is no point in doing it. Reality check, nothing happens right away. If you think you are this type of person, then you have to learn to set smaller goals that will give you more instant gratification together with your larger goals, in order for you to have the best of both worlds.

So, who are you among these types of people? Are you one of them? If you are, there are solutions to your problems when it comes to goal setting and achieving your goals. Your goals will motivate you. Every one should have a goal to keep aiming for because that’s just the way it is.
